Dalmore 12 year old Glenfiddich Walker wanted to revive ageThe story of the stag dates back to the 1200s when a member of Clan Mackenzie saved King Alexander III from a stag attack. As a reward for saving him, King Alexander III granted Clan Mackenzie the right to use 12 pointed stag emblem on their coat of arms. The emblem has been passed down through generations as a family symbol. Jumping to the 1960s, the Mackenzies sold the distillery to Whyte & Mackay who are currently responsible for the distillery.
