I cut this stone myself as part of my spooky series of Halloween gems, 2024. This is moissanite aka silicon carbide. Though moissanite is often thought of as a diamond stand in this crystal was actually grown for use in computer chips fortunately for us it didn't quite meet spec and we were able to get our hands on it instead. Silicon carbide is much
