Ortofon MC X50 MC Cartridge Ortofon S the work of leading designerThe MC X50 is the top of the Ortofon 'MC X' Moving Coil cartridge range. Like all models in the MC X range it features a chassis made with by Metal Injection Moulding a stainless steel honeycomb structure. This is then sintered and coated with a vapour deposited finish. The result is claimed to be an incredibly stiff, but lightweight chassis for the moving parts to work within. The coils are wound from pure silver and every detail down to the material
