Looking at this, I thought a lot about the most recent set excluding Final Fantasy, Tarkir Dragonstorm, and how this card fits in so well with those recently released decks and strategies

On the side of good, we got Ethan's Ho-Oh ex, Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Steven's Metagross ex, and Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex, and to oppose them, we got Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, Team Rocket's Moltres ex, Team Rocket's Crobat ex, Team Rocket's Nidoking ex, and Team Rocket's Persian ex

Wendy Adams doesn't like this combo because she'd rather play Wendy's Amulet, and Abandoned and Alone ruins the ability to bring glimmer back from the discard pile (unless you get it before committing glimmer of course)
