The drop handles are stylistically correct historic replacements

The work remains in a very good condition overall with only minor craquelure and very small paint losses in places (please see photographs)

The silver lid boasts stunning foliate detail with a bird and a depiction of the 'green man', all surrounding a blank armorial cartouche.
