MEDIEVAL EUROPEAN RING, 9TH-11TH CENTURY, SIZE 10 1/2 07/23/2024 known as Baron of theGilt bronze, size 10 with 2. 8mm rounded face band flaring to the nubbed shoulders which flank a lenticular shaped bezel. Similar to Henig type VIII and a form descended from the Roman which incorporated a round bezel. See Ancient Rings, p. 42. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored.
